The 25 tools of the LinkHarbor MCP server: what each one does, which permission it needs and which actions apply at once or after approval.
The LinkHarbor MCP server offers 25 tools: 10 for reading and 15 for making changes. Your assistant only sees the tools for which you have granted the matching permission. The names in the tables are the technical names, which may also show up in your assistant.

| list_templates | Lists the built-in templates and the workspace's active custom templates, noting which ones your plan unlocks | Read · Workspaces |
| list_page_versions | Lists a page's published versions, newest first | Read · Pages |
| get_preview_link | Creates a preview link to the draft, valid for 10 minutes | Read · Pages |

For the statistics tools, the assistant can choose a period: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days (default), 90 days, current month or last month.
Making changes
| Tool | What it does | Permission | Takes effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| create_page | Creates a new, unpublished page; the handle cannot be changed through the assistant afterwards | Write · Pages | New page as a draft |
| update_page | Changes the title or the listing in the LinkHarbor directory (not the handle) | Write · Pages | Immediately, not versioned |
| update_page_design | Changes template, design, theme and custom CSS; only the values given change, the rest of the theme stays | Write · Pages | Draft |
| update_page_seo | Changes SEO and sharing texts (without image) | Write · Pages | Draft |
| add_block | Adds a block at the end | Write · Pages | Draft |
| update_block | Changes a block | Write · Pages | Draft |
| delete_block | Removes a block | Write · Pages | Draft, asks first |
| reorder_blocks | Changes the order of the blocks | Write · Pages | Draft |
| add_link | Adds a link button at the end | Write · Links | Draft |
| update_link | Changes a link: title, target, on/off, schedule, style, country and device rules | Write · Links | Draft |
| delete_link | Removes a link | Write · Links | Draft, asks first |
| reorder_links | Changes the order of the links | Write · Links | Draft |
| restore_page_version | Brings a published version (or the current live state) back into the draft | Write · Pages | Draft, asks first |
| set_page_visibility | Makes the page public, private or password-protected | Write · Pages | Live immediately, asks first |
| publish_page | Puts the draft live and saves it as a new version | Write · Pages | Live immediately, asks first |
“Draft” means visitors only see the change once publish_page publishes the page. “Asks first” means the tool is marked as consequential for the assistant. Claude and ChatGPT normally ask for your confirmation with such tools; exactly how is up to each client.
Good to know
- Read and write permissions are separate for the assistant: if you only grant “Write · Pages”, you do not get the read tools for pages as well
- get_page also needs “Read · Links”, because it reads the page's links too
- New blocks and links always land at the end; the assistant then moves them with reorder_blocks or reorder_links
- Plan limits apply just as in the dashboard, for example for block types, premium templates or the number of links
- The preview link shows the draft the way visitors will see it after publishing
- The assistant treats texts from pages and form submissions as data, not as instructions
Permissions without a tool of their own
Some permissions can be granted on the consent page, but the assistant currently does not use them for any tool: “Read · Assets”, “Write · Assets”, “Write · Forms”, “Write · Workspaces”, “Read · Supporter payments”, “Read · Short Links”, “Write · Short Links” and “Write · Workspace templates”. You can untick them without any downside.
