How to delete your LinkHarbor account, what you have to do first and what happens to your pages, data and subscriptions.
You can delete your LinkHarbor account yourself at any time. This takes all pages in your own workspaces offline and removes your personal data. It can't be undone, so read this guide in full once before you start.
Before you delete
You have to take care of two things first, otherwise LinkHarbor refuses the deletion:
- Hand over the workspace or remove members
- If your own workspace has members other than you, you see “You own a workspace with other members. …” Transfer it to another member under “Team & Invitations” with “Transfer ownership”, or remove all other members; the “Go to workspace members” button takes you straight there. See Invite members.
- End your paid subscription
- If a paid subscription is still running for your workspace, you see “You have an active subscription. Cancel it first before deleting your account.” The “Go to subscription management” button takes you to the “Manage plan” page; there you cancel in the Stripe customer portal via “Go to customer portal →”. If you cancel effective at the end of the term, you can delete your account as soon as the term has ended. See Cancelling, downgrading and failed payments and Withdrawal, refunds and price changes.
We also recommend:
- Back up texts, images and submissions you want to keep, as you'll have no access after deletion. How to do that is explained in Back up and export your data
- Update bios, QR codes and printed materials that point to your pages
- Let people you worked with in your workspace know
You need your password to delete your account. If you only sign in with Google or Facebook, first set a password via “Forgot password”.
Deleting your account
- Open “Profile” and scroll to the “Danger zone” card
- Click “Delete account”
- Read the notice in the “Permanently delete account” dialog
- Enter your “Current password”
- Type DELETE into the “Type 'DELETE' to confirm” field
- Click “Permanently delete account”
“Your account has been deleted.” appears, and you land on the sign-in page. We don't send a confirmation e-mail.
What happens when you delete
Immediately
- All pages in your own workspaces are taken offline
- You are signed out on all devices, including the app
- Connected apps such as Claude or ChatGPT lose access
- Short links in your workspaces are deleted and integrations disconnected
- Your personal data is deleted: profile, billing address, two-factor settings, devices for push notifications and links to Google or Facebook
- Your e-mail address is removed from the account and is free again immediately; you could sign up with it again
After 30 days
The remaining data of your workspaces (pages, forms, webhooks, domains, API keys and other content) stays stored in deactivated form for another 30 days and is then permanently deleted.
Other people's workspaces
If you are a member of someone else's workspace, that workspace stays in place with all its pages. You only lose your access. Pages you created there belong to the workspace and stay online.
Alternatives
- Only cancel the subscription
- If you don't want to pay any more but want to keep your page, cancel your subscription. Your workspace then moves to the free Creator Free plan. See Cancelling, downgrading and failed payments.
- Delete individual pages
- If you only no longer need one page, delete just that one. See Delete a page.
- Hide a page
- With the visibility “Private”, a page is no longer public but is kept. See Visibility: public, private or password.
