Workspace, page, handle, draft, version, template, block and roles: the basic terms of LinkHarbor explained simply.
Some terms come up again and again in LinkHarbor. Once you know them, it is easier to understand where something is set and why a change is visible straight away or only after publishing.
Workspace
The workspace is the container for everything that belongs together: pages, assets, forms, short links, integrations, domains and the team. The plan belongs to the workspace too – so an upgrade applies to all pages in it and to all members.
- When you sign up, you get a personal workspace in which you are the owner
- If someone invites you to their team, their workspace is added
- The workspace switcher in the top bar lets you move between your workspaces

Page
A page is your link-in-bio page: a profile with picture and text, your links and further blocks such as a gallery, opening hours or a form. How many pages a workspace can have depends on the plan: 1 on Creator Free, 3 on Creator Pro, 10 on Creator Agency.
Handle
The handle is your page's name in the address, for example harbour-cafe in linkharbor.com/harbour-cafe. It consists of 2 to 64 lowercase letters, digits and hyphens and is unique per domain. If you change it, the new address applies immediately – the old one then stops working. Some words such as help, login or pricing are reserved on linkharbor.com, and the handle of a deleted page stays taken. With a custom domain, your page is also available at your own address.
Template
The template is the basic framework of a page: layout, space for the profile picture and header, and a basic style. There are 17 templates; 3 of them (Basic, Compact, Simple List) are included in the Free plan, the rest from Creator Pro. You adjust colours, font and background in the Page Builder. See Choosing and switching templates.
Blocks and links
Blocks are the building blocks of a page – text, image, heading, social icons, form, countdown and many more. There are 20 block types; the Free plan includes 8 basic types. Your links are collected in the fixed “Links” block that belongs to every page. Each link can have its own rules, such as scheduling or an age check. See Blocks and Links.
Draft and publishing
Everything you change in content and design goes into the draft first. Visitors keep seeing the last published version. Only “Publish” – in the Page Builder or in the page editor – puts the draft live. That way you can rework your page in peace without visitors seeing a half-finished version.
Some settings, on the other hand, apply immediately, without publishing: title, handle and “Listed in public search”, as well as the visibility (public, private or password-protected). If a change does not appear on the page, see Changes are not showing on your page.
Version
Every publish creates a new version that cannot be changed: v1, v2, v3 and so on. In the “Versions” tab you see all versions and can bring an older one back into the draft. See Publishing and versions.
Visibility
The visibility decides who may see a published page: everyone (“Public”), only people with an invite link (“Private”) or only those who know the password (“Password protected”, from Creator Pro). See Visibility.
Assets
Assets are your workspace's files: images, videos, audio, PDFs and ZIP files. Everything you use in pages is stored there and is available to all pages in the workspace. See Assets.
Roles
Every member of a workspace has a role that defines what they may do:
| Role | In short |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Sees pages, statistics, versions and most workspace areas but changes nothing. Form submissions, domains, webhooks, short links and API keys stay hidden |
| Editor | Edits pages, links, blocks, forms and assets |
| Admin | Additionally team, plan, domains, webhooks, short links, API keys and integrations |
| Owner | Like admin; in addition, only the owner changes roles and can hand the workspace over to another member with “Transfer ownership”; every workspace has exactly one |
The full overview is in Roles and permissions.
Followers
Visitors can follow your page – in the LinkHarbor app or in the dashboard under “Subscriptions”. They need a free LinkHarbor account for this; you never get to see their e-mail address. You can tell followers who use the app about news with a push notification – see Followers and push notifications and Follow pages and control push notifications.
